Closed Due To Retirement Having celebrated my 80th birthday recently I decided that it was time to retire with effect from 31/07/2024. I will complete any magnetos currently in the workshop and continue to stand over the warranty for my previous work but will not accept any new magnetos. Welcome

I have been involved in the Northern Ireland vintage scene for over 40 years and am well known within the hobby. During this time I have gathered a broad spectrum of mechanical experience from both everyday work and my hobby.

Initially due to time constraints I only worked on my own magnetos and repaired the odd magneto for a friend but after retirement I was approached by other enthusiasts to carry out work for them and thus Patterson Magnetos was born in 2008. Since then word of mouth and good reputation have played a large part in the success of my business and I now carry out repairs throughout Ireland, North and South. I repair a broad range of magnetos encompassing stationary engines, tractors both vintage and veteran, cars, commercial vehicles and motorcylces. All workmanship and new parts are guaranteed with every magneto being fully tested on site before being returned the customer. Should you have queries please do not hesitate to get in contact.
